We use a strong compounded numbing cream that consists of three different types of numbing agents, in high percentages.

Downtime is ususally minimal after most appointments. Some swelling and bruising is to be expected, for this reason we recommend ensuring you allow 4-6 weeks between your treatment and any upcoming events. Results may vary and all risks, downtime and aftercare will be explained in depth at your consultation.

Yes, there are several. Some of them are:

- If you're currently on, or have been on, antibiotics in the last 14 days for an acute infection.

- If you're acutely unwell or symptomatic.

- Had Covid in the past 2–4 weeks.

- An active cold sore, open wound or acne in the area being treated.

- Receiving your Covid vaccine less than 14 days before or after your treatment.

- Myasthenia Gravis or Eaton Lambert syndrome.

- Pregnancy, breastfeeding or trying to conceive.

- Some autoimmune diseases.

These are some of the more common contraindications, but not an exhaustive list — always disclose your full medical history at consultation.

If you're treated while any of the above apply, it can result in significant infection and/or an immune reaction that leads to rejection and nodules, which would then require further treatment to resolve.
